Categories are tags that people can use to easily find articles on topics they want. If you add categories to your articles it is likely that you will get more readers. To create a category, put a hashtag at the bottom of the text box. Some hubs already have this template set out for you.
Categories should be written with the first letter of each word in capital letters. They will appear as a link at the top and bottom of your article, and take you to tall the other articles that share the same themes.
Some categories can be written in multiple ways, for example, if you are writing a recipe for cherry pie, do you write 'cherry' or 'cherries'? If you are unsure, check the list of categories already in circulation. Use whichever one is most popular.
You can go to the list of categories my licking on 'more categories' at the bottom of the hub's homepage. You will see two columns; on the left categories are categorised in order of how popular they are, while on the right, they are listed alphabetically.
