Guide on writing an article using the HubGarden platform.
Click on any image to see a larger version.
Press 'Share Article' You will see a screen like this:
Type in the title of your article and press 'Submit'
Your screen now looks like this:
On the left is where you edit your articles.
On the right is your article preview.
Click in the blue box and begin writing.
At the bottom of the editing box is an 'Update' button. Press this often to avoid losing your work.
If you write your articles in a word processing program, copy and paste all into a Notepad document before copy and pasting all into the editing box. This will get rid of the word processing formatting.
Categories go at the end of your article and are preceded by the hash sign #. Look over your article and pick out the main points. Try to reduce each of these main points to one or two words. These will be your categories.
Categories are important for search purposes.
For Bold Text: use two stars (Capital 8) on each side of the text you want to be bold.
For Italic Text: use two percent signs (Capital 5) on each side of the text you want to be italicised.
For Bold and Italic Text: use two stars and two percent signs on each side of the text you want to be bold and italicised.
Bullet Points: use one star on the left of the text you want to be listed.
Break up lots of text with subtitles and line breaks to make it easier to read.
Use lists where applicable.
Look over your article to make sure it makes sense, looks good and do a grammar and spell check.
An article on all hubs at HubGarden requires at least one image. Insert your image/s before pressing at the top of the edit box.
